Isuzu Trooper 3.5 Citation 5d Auto (1998/S) Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
-
Economy
Value
I can't find anything of the same class to equal it.
Costs
Steer clear of expensive Isuzu parts - use the internet to order if you need too.
-
On the road
Driving
Driven 1,000 miles per week for 18 months - now at 137K and going strong.
Performance
3.5 V6 very stable and responsive - quite thirsty but can average 325 Miles for £52.00.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Keep it fed and watered and it should go on forever.
Image
Not poncy like a Range Rover (or as expensive) or as crude as a Land Rover (1,000 miles a week - no thanks).
Comfort
Heated seats. Good aircon. Arm rests. More space than you can possibly use.
-
Security and Service
Security
Never been nicked - speaks for itself.
Service
Main Dealer's unhelpful and less confident garages will not touch the engines - search around if you have the time.
-
Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
All bearings and crankshaft replaced at at 120K - baked oil in head blocked jets!
