Jaguar F-Pace 2.0d Portfolio AWD 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
In the summer. I think the plastic panels and parts inside cabin area expand or whatever ,as the creaking and squeaky noises are very loud and I only noticed it in the hot weather.
The cabin I think is of a low quality standard with finish and control knobs and switches feeling cheap.
I think the idea of having stop start on a Diesel engine is totally stupid. And need a switch to disable altogether ,rather than on every trip.
These diesels are no good for town use as they need to drive longer distances for the filter to be of any good.
So it looks like a steam train on most journeys, unless travelling on dual carriageway or motorways.
The washer bottle filler is positioned in the most awkward position with the bonnet hinge in the way when trying to fill from a gallon bottle.
I think the suspension is also feeling on the cheaper car feeling and needs adjustment.
I did find the Jaguar a nice drive on motorway journeys.
I now have a Volvo on order and feel the quality is much better.
How reliable do you find the car?
Car has serious tyre skipping issues ,because of the acute steering geometry. If roads or car parks are damp or wet and turn corners the tyres cause a skipping noise (sounds very loud and terrible) and sensation that the car is trying to go straight when you have steering on lock.So count on about 15,000 miles for the original set of tyres ,a dismal mileage for tyre wear.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
When I got car, the brakes had stuck fast on disks at some point and had scored disks badly. So as a new car I had to have all rear brakes replaced. The disks in my opinion are not of a high quality and on a mid priced car is not satisfactory.About their car
