Jaguar F-Pace Prestige 20d 2.0 Turbocharged Diesel 180PS auto 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Bought as a sold order and configured by me. It is a 2 wheel drive vehicle, 183 bhp Ingenium Diesel. Prestige trim. Full length electric glass roof. Reversing camera. Full size spare wheel. Gorgeous racing red metallic paint. List price £39,980 on the road. I Therefore avoided 5 yeas of prestige car tax and incurred no penalty initial car purchase tax. The car is driven briskly and I monitor the fuel consumption via the Jaguar "in control app". On a trip from Oxford to Lincoln on Sunday morning via the M40 M69 M1 and A45 the car averaged 62 mph and returned 70 MPG!, note: cool, moist, still air conditions and car fully run in. On short urban runs it returns 45 mpg even if using air con and heated seats. The Jag. replaced a 2007 Chrysler 300c. A magnificent but flawed beast. Before that I had a BMW 330D (Considerable dearer than the Jag) which had high initial show room appeal, but had dreadful mopped paint, frail poor quality interior. It needed a new clutch and gearbox, leaked water into the cabin, and despite my best efforts went shabby within 9 months. This Jaguar has given peerless fault free service and never fails to delight. Fit and finish exemplary, materials durable, especially the load space and d post areas. The mechanicals are awesome . Low wind resistance and friction reduced bearings means it coasts for long distances and rewards you for modifying your driving style, with stunning economy, whilst still delivering great driving pleasure. THE DOWN SIDE... Jaguar dealers are abysmal and expensive! Check those invoices £47 plus VAT for screen wash top up! (Marshalls) £540 for a service at 2 years! Also, unless specifically requested they omit the brake fluid change, but charge you for "A full service to Jaguar recommendation" I use an independent Jaguar specialist . With that proviso I heartily recommend the fPace!.
