Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,500
When did you buy the car?
March 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a very good deal as the car had already done over 100,000 miles. I knew a good deal about this version and especially the engine, a BMW diesel, so i knew it was good for at least another 100,000 miles. So the low price was music to my ears!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a British Racing Green Jaguar Estate and this was just what I wanted!
What was the dealer like?
Very affable and friendly, but knew nothing about Jags, nor about this particular Jag which had been given to him by a lose friend to sell.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Superb. Handles so well, fatter tyres than normal car and great grip on the road surface. And the engine is good, not as powerful as modern diesels but good enough. Handles really well when fully loaded, and the engine seems to relish a fully-laden car.
What's it like to park?
Easy, if you are a good driver and have good spacial awareness.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
A few cosmetic things, lights, windscreen wipers, that sort of thing. The most expensive was getting all the tyres and brake pads done.
What's most practical about your car?
It has the largest boot space (with the back seats down, of any estate car I have ever used. It is quite, comfy, and does great mileage!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Sat Nav system is quality. Oh and heated front seats in the winter!
