Economy
Value
Not bad - a lot of car for the money, although we got carried away with the extras list!
Costs
Reasonable running costs, although not averaging anywhere near the claimed 50MPG - low 40s at best and we've done 12,500 miles since new 6 months ago, so it should be run in by now.

On the road
Driving
Great drive - prefer it to our friend's Sovereign 4.0, which feels wallowy in comparison.
Performance
Very nippy - great acceleration on the motorway - crying out for a 6th gear, though.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Filter replaced at first service due to churning out black smoke under hard acceleration - much better now and appears to be getting a few more MPG as a result. Initial electrical gremlins intermittently affected the heated seats, Satnav and Jaguar Voice
Image
Prestige badge - looks good on the driveway. Gadgets impress your passengers!
Comfort
It took some time to get the electric memory seats into a position that was comfortable as there are so many adjustments you can make, but once there it feels fine. Could do with a better left foot rest, though.

Security and Service
Security
Has everything you need - alarm, immobiliser, deadlocks etc.
Service
Fine - has been to the dealership three times - twice to solve electrical glitches and once for first service.
