Sounds like a London Taxi and handles like a Ford Mondeo LX. Great stereo, plush hard wearing interior and apart from how cheap they are to maintain, excellent luxury value for money with that timeless look of the XJ. Owned mine for 3 years now and never let me down once. The neighbours love it too.
How reliable do you find the car?
Starter motor, clutch and flywheel replaced at 105,000mls due to worn flywheel bolts . Common issue I believe. Couple of minor issues to deal with, and one major issue which is common with all X Types. Sill corrosion.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
