Jaguar X-Type Saloon 2.5 V6 Sport 4d (2001/51) Owner Review

Economy
Value
So much prestige, quality and refinement for a relatively low cost.
Costs
Service costs aren't too bad though. As soon as you turn it on, you can see the fuel guage start to move. My current best with combined motorway and town driving is 268 miles from a £42 tank.

On the road
Driving
An absolute pleasure. It purrs along the road, it's responsive, but at the same time elegant as you seem to silently glide over the tarmac.
Performance
All that 'Sport' really gets you is 17" alloys and a different bodykit, it's hardly what you would call a driver's car from a raw power point of view, it's no Impreza Turbo!

Living with it
Reliability
As of yet, have had no problems at all and the build quality is extremely good.
Image
It has very effectively avoided the 'old man's car' feel with the benefit of being rarer on the roads than BMW or Mercedes.
Comfort
Extremely comfortable, even both as driver and passenger, even for people in the back and I'm 6' 7"!

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks, alarm, immobiliser, panic alarm, auto movement locking. Thought of everything.
Service
Very professional and give you the air of a value customer you would expect from a top marque.
