In their own words
Good points. The car is amazing to drive. Cornering, comfort, braking and performance are all excellent. Now the bad points. If you are buying new, only specify options you know you can't do without. They add little resale value and some of them don't work well at all (my car came with pretty much all the options - second hand I hasten to add!). For example, Adaptive Cruise Control gets confused and slows down suddenly, sign recognition gets confused and gives you the wrong speed limit, stop start doesn't work properly unless you charge the battery up full then only do long drives... You get the general idea - all this lot is either switched off or not used on my car. Keyless entry is just a quick way for someone with the right electronics to nick the car without the keys. Regarding practicality and space, it isn't practical and it doesn't have much space. I bought mine because I wanted to buy British, but in hindsight I'd have been better off buying an Astra (built at Ellsemere Port) which with the right spec can whup an XE in most ways and for a lot less money. BTW, I did a little research and found out that the depreciation on my car in the second year alone would have paid for a one year old Astra.
