Jaguar XF R-S (2013-2015) boot space, practicality and safety
While it’s a big car and feels well-built, it’s worth noting that there’s a dark cloud hanging over the question of Jaguar XFR-S safety. The XF only scores four stars in the EuroNCAP crash tests, which is highly unusual these days. All of its main competition score a maximum five stars.
Safety kit installed includes a raft of airbags, traction and stability control. You can also order a reversing camera and blind spot warning system as optional extras.
You won’t be bowled over with shock to learn that Jaguar XFR-S practicality is exactly the same as the XFR it’s based on.
That means a 500-litre boot, yet since it’s not available as an estate like some of its rivals you could be forgiven for wanting a touch more load room.
The glovebox is a clever little thing, opening at the touch of a button located above it in the dashboard.
Front and rear parking sensors are included as standard, which definitely helps when parking. A reversing camera will cost you a little more, though.
