Jaguar XF Saloon (2008 - 2015) 2.2d Luxury 4d Auto Owner Review

Well built, reliable, comfortable, great performance and looks. Only two problems - the recurrent one is with the rear parking sensors. One had to be replaced due to a parking mistake on my part - the first garage could not get it to work properly (which immobilises all the others). An independent Jaguar dealer sorted it, until I used a jet spray to wash the car - now it works when dry, but not in winter. Apparently this is a common problem. I also had a one-off failure in the fuel system (which slowed down the car to a crawl) - turned out the fuel filter has not been replaced at the last service! The alloy wheels corroded far too quickly and are of inferior quality to my old BMW. Have managed to clean them up with good quality cleaner. I opted not to have a spare tyre, so far have not had a puncture but am fearful of having to use the repair kit on a dark night! I will probably keep the car until it fails - the market price for a 10 year old diesel is only £6k and it could go for another 10 years, by which time electric cars will rule the world!
