Summary
What does this car say about you?
No idea!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Good looking car inside and out.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I hope I won't have to - I'm expecting to keep this car for a very long time.
What are you likely to buy next?
No idea - too far away to think about.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£30,500
When did you buy the car?
December 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got the deal Jaguar were advertising across all their dealerships - which I thought was pretty good (pretty large discount over £5K).
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I loved the XF when it first came out, except for the headlights. With that sorted in the 2012 model and with a 2.2 diesel also being available, the time was right.
What was the dealer like?
My local dealer was not great - having let me test drive he didn't seem to take me seriously. So I went further afield and found HA Fox in Nottingham who were excellent.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Excellent ride comfort but also firm enough, with excellent road holding when you want to press on. Small(ish) diesel engine is remarkably willing and silent - at least, from the inside of the car.
What's it like to park?
As previously said, the visibility is not great. But with the reversing camera and all round sensors (optional extra) it becomes pretty easy to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
Folding rear seats and large boot make it very practical as well as good looking.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Reversing camera (it's essential due to the poor visibility caused by the shape - don't buy an XF without one!).
