Jaguar XF Saloon (2008 - 2015) 3.0d V6 Luxury 4d Auto Owner Review

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The car looks fantastic from all angles, however, due to horrendous reliability problems, I wouldn't touch a Jag with the proverbial barge pole.
I was on first name terms with my local garage due to the number of call outs primarily due to the gear selector sticking in park on a regular basis.
Went back to E350 Mercedes after 18 months and 5 grands worth of repairs. Decent tyres replaced every 10k miles at £160.00 a corner didn't help the cause.
How reliable do you find the car?
Car came with 6 month warranty, no problems during this time. However, 6 months down the line, replaced the central locking on rear doors due to staying locked.
Drivers door c/l replaced. Rear suspension complete rebuild@ £700.00 due to bushes collapsing. Turbos rebuilt twice due to faulty solenoid problems. £1000.00 spent. Parking sensors failed.
Eats rear tyres, need changing approximately every 10k.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Too many niggling faults. After running an E-class Mercedes 320 for 600k miles with only regular servicing the Xf has been an expensive error, and sold after 18 months, replaced with another bulletproof Mercedes E class 350
