Jaguar XF Saloon 2.0d Portfolio 4d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I so wanted to like this car, I wanted to buy British and support the UK industry, but poor quality, and poor customer service mean that my next car will be either German or Japanese. A car under 6 months old should not be experiencing problems, no car be it 6 months or 6 years old should be dumping the water from its aircon into the inside of the car, and when you buy an expensive car from a supposedly premium brand you should not need to wait weeks for a problem like this to be resolved. No idea what long term issues the damp will have on the car, but I do know that it, and the response of Jaguar to it means I won't ever buy another Jag, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to either.
How reliable do you find the car?
The car is 6 months old, but it's not looking good on build quality or reliability. 2 weeks in a bit of plastic trim fell off the boot lock, no problem wasn't even worth bothering about. Last month though I noticed the windows were misting up a lot, then I found the cause, the rear passenger footwell was soaking wet to the point that the mat was floating in the water. After bailing out and sponging up the worst I booked it in at my local dealer. Unfortunately they couldn't fit me in for over 2 weeks, so they got the valets to run the wet vac over it and suck out the worst of the water. I had to go back twice more before they finally got round to fixing the problem, a faulty aircon pipe dumping water in the front. By then the pervading damp meant the entire car felt soggy, the seats were so wet I had to drive with the heaters on, and the blowers on permanently to clear the screen. Still got the damp smell and unpleasant slightly cold feel.About their car
