Jaguar XJ Saloon 3.2 S 4d (1993/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Great value for money second-hand; someone paid a lot of money for this car new!
Costs
Expensive to maintain when garages charge £60 an hour, but parts are reasonable and economy is similar to a 4x4.
-
On the road
Driving
Sports car and limo in one body.
Performance
You can always use more power but be careful in the wet - there is plenty to spin it.
-
Living with it
Reliability
I have found mine to be very reliable, but I think that is reflected in the maintence that is done, as with any car.
Image
People still think that they are expensive cars and if you have a clean one they do stand out.
Comfort
Very comfortable but make sure you get the full leather and air con. And the sports pack does transform the car.

Security and Service
Security
The alarm system is made by Derringer in the US and I have not had any problem, but you don't put a cheap system on a £30-40k car.
Service
My dealer has performed excellently and it makes a change to be called "Sir" when you buy parts!
