Jaguar XJ Saloon 3.2 Executive 4d Auto (1997/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Well buying it is relatively cheap- of course same applies when selling.
Costs
Main dealer costly- 10k/1yr about £600 basic. Fuel costs are know to be high even on this 3.2. Motorway miles are not bad. But it is a Jag!

On the road
Driving
Very, very smooth ride- as confirmed by BMW and Merc owners.
Performance
Very good for size and weight of car even with the 3.2. This model would need to be floored to accelerate from a stand still. Enough pulling power at speeds of 40 + in kick down mode.

Living with it
Reliability
In ownership for almost 3 years now- not a single problem.
Image
Far better looking than BMW/Merc/Lex counterpart. I get looks from people everyday even when it was standard now has the 20" XKR alloys and privacy glass.
Comfort
Arguably the best- again BMW and Merc owners saying it is far better than theirs.
