On the road
Driving
Fast acceleration. 30+mpg if kept at legal motorway limit, great ownership experience. Looks great and costs less than a newer used Mondeo.
Performance
Superb cornering ability. 220bhp power is enough. Fifth gear could be higher - this engine gives 80mph @ 3000 revs, bigger 4.0 engine is more relaxed.

Living with it
Reliability
Known to be very reliable after 9/1994 model year.
Image
Beats hands down 'common' German competition seen on every street - Jaguars not. Also makes other cars look ugly. Flowing lines are a work of art.
Comfort
Could be a little smoother over bumps, but we are talking about a Sport version with stiffer suspension and 225/55 tyres.

Security and Service
Security
No problem so far - good zone alarm.
Service
Service can be very good if a relationship is built.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Solid as a rock - check if timing chain tensioners need replacement.
Other
Watch out for 16ft 7inch length - makes parking fun and is your garage long enough?
