Economy
Value
Very good second-hand value. What else does it all for the price?
Costs
Routine servicing not too bad, but fuel and extras push up costs.
-
On the road
Driving
Total luxury and superb handling, sticks to the road like glue in the dry, but a little tail happy in wet - drive with restraint, even with traction on.
Performance
Not much can touch it away from lights, but a bit ponderous at times even in sport mode on the road.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Don't buy one with over 70k miles on the clock, otherwise it will keep having to have niggly things repaired, e.g. water hoses.
Image
Not too bad, but not in the same league as a porshe 911.
Comfort
Nice, big, comfy seats but not as smooth as a soverign, but then superb roadholding comes at a cost.
-
Security and Service
Security
So far so good, deadlocks are reassuring.
Service
Very friendly and efficient, but expensive, but if you can't afford it drive a Fiesta.
