Economy
Value
Bought the car new with hands free phone at £950 expensive, but had all the goodies as standard.
Costs
Surprised how cheap to service, but only just done 50k miles so big service to come although 25% reduction because car over 5 years old. Depreciation high - should have bought 1 to 2 year old one.

On the road
Driving
Very fast in sport mode. Purrs along on the motorway at any speed. Surprisingly agile on country lanes, the ride always being brilliant.
Performance
It goes like a bomb if you want it to but does not make a lot of noise doing it. Masses of torque from the V8 compared with the previous six. 70mph at 2600 revs in fifth.

Living with it
Reliability
A cracked power steering pipe sorted under warranty; that's all in five years.
Image
Still looks good, even against the new model, unlike Sclass and 7-series.
Comfort
Very comfortable, although need more room in the back. Only Jaguar do the leather seats and walnut trim to perfection. Your own armchair on wheels.

Security and Service
Security
Was told it was the best when I bought it. Even without tracker, no attempts at taking it although BMWs were taken from same car park.
Service
Car is picked up and returned having been cleaned inside and out all for £250. Mercedes take note.
