Would you buy this car again and why?
I liked the style of this XJ representing development over 40 years A little like the Porsche 911. The new design doesnt look good but hopefully the car itself is better. INterior is nioce but the seats are a little thin.
What are you likely to buy next?
This XJ is in someways better than BMW and Mercedes (I have had both) but you dont get the solid feeling of these cars. Lightness though means low mpg for the size of car, so most likely an XJ again.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I think the car was a good deal as the price was lower due an insurance write off. Repair was done by Jaguar.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
Private dealer but the car was well prepared.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very easy and relaxing. Very quick when needed for overtaking from around 20mpüh but from 50 there is no turbo effect can be dangerous as sometimes the power is there and often not.
What's it like to park?
Very difficult. The parking distance sensors are not reporting high pavements so the front end rides over the pavement and gets pulled off. The sensors need to be lower! maybe 5 times I have had this problem as you cant see over the long bonnet!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The bonnet catch sensor went wrong, this was shorted out. Parling brake recently froze (in Germany at minus 25) Othwerwise nothing at all after 25,000 miles.
What's most practical about your car?
Large comfortable car also for back seat passengers and great fuel consumption. Good performance when needed but it really needs an 8 gear auto as there are big holes in the toque.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Many gadgets are merely toys. Electronic brake is perhaps the best.
