Jaguar XJ Saloon (2010 - 2019) 3.0d V6 Premium Luxury 4d Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
With my Jaguar XJ 3.0 litre V6 Twin Turbo 2011 now being 12 years old as of 2023 it has above average mileage at 98200 genuine miles ( I bought the car in September 2015 with 32,000 miles on the clock from a main Jaguar dealership.
Can have electrical gremlins including electronic doors not all always unlocking. Also I have to now replace all the front and rear top and bottom control arms. Also a new main car battery and all 4 tyres to be replaced ( as purchased all new in 2019).
Also just had oil, filters and renewal of the earlier 6 speed ZF Automatic torque converter.
Personally I would recommend from 2016 onwards as has the newer 8 speed ZF gearbox, better brake disks and pads ( I upgraded my 2011 to performance Brembo ventilated disks and pads all round). Also from 2016 onwards has the better 4 zone climate zone, quieter acoustic glass , newer and better infotainment system and the diesel are ULEZ 6 compliant ( mine is only zone 4)
Also has the more updated digital dashboard with modern info including speed sign recognition, tyres pressures readout and even economy driving advise. I would recommend Portfolio insignia onwards ( if a family man with children the Autobiography has rear DVD screens , leather headlining and massaged heated and cooled seats.
I recommended Jag XJ to my brother ( high praise indeed) and he bought a 2017 Jaguar XJ Portfolio spec from his local Jaguar dealership ( has 300bhp and 8 speed ZF Automatic gearbox).
Previously 1 owned a Mercedea Benz 2007 CLS CDi ( which I part exchanged for the Jag).
