Jeep Cherokee (2014 - 2019) 2.2 Multijet 200 Limited Active Drive II SW 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
The main problem is not with the car but with the dealership. (In this case Oldham Motors). From new they were a disaster. They changed the wheels to ones of my choice. In the process they broke two of the tyre pressure sensors and scuffed the new wheels. The car had to be booked back in to rectify the problems. 19000 miles later I noticed that one of the front pressure sensors was showing red. I assumed that it was telling me that my tyre needed changing. (Later to be told by Oldham Motors Service Manager that it only indicates tyre pressure). In any event I got two front tyres changed at Cosco tyres. During this procedure wheel bolts sheared off within the hub and cracks were noticed on other bolts. Cosco produced a report together with pictures of the nuts, stating that it was caused by the nuts having been overtightened when the wheels were fitted. My car was now off the road and had to be recovered to the dealership who refused to recover it and failed to tell me that I was covered under warranty for recovery. The also refused to loan me a vehicle.
Nearly three weeks later I got my car back. I had to pay for a new wheel hub (£415). I noticed that the red warning light was still on, although as before, the pressure was reading correctly. I asked as to why they didn't deal with this matter and got gibberish. They then said that I would have to book my car in again and pay £118 for to have the problem diagnosed. They stated that Jeep only pay them for repairs and not for diagnosis even when the thing is under warranty.
The latest is that they are now saying that because I got tyres changed somewhere else that the repair wouldn't be under warranty either. Telling them (and for the umpteenth time) that the warning light was on before I got my tyres changed made no difference.
The disgraceful service which I have experience on this latest occasion and previous would cause me to avoid Jeep like the plague in the future.
