Economy
Value
Low mileage. Late Diesels hard to come by, but when you find one they are good value for money, especially when you consider the residual value and equipment level.
Costs
Service and maintenance costs with main dealers quite reasonable when compared to the alternatives. More expensive than some cars, but cheaper then you think.

On the road
Driving
Great drivers’ car. 2WD (rear) means it's easy to know what's happening or about to happen. Very sure-footed on and off the road, regardless of the conditions or terrain. Body roll much less than many.
Performance
Good all-round performance. Economy good for weight and lack of aerodynamics.

Living with it
Reliability
Never had any major problems with it. Very dependable motor if maintained well.
Image
Dated now, but still original and unique.
Comfort
Business end is very comfortable with a lot of adjustment. Rear passengers (unless children) may be uncomfortable on longer runs.

Security and Service
Security
Standard immobiliser is good, but the full manufacturers alarm is a significant enhancement.
Service
Dealers I have used have been very good, efficient and friendly.
