Jeep Cherokee (1993 - 2001) 4.0 Limited 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
These Jeeps are incredibly versatile. They are "proper Jeeps" but with a metal roof We've had two, both have been excellent. The 4.0 is best, and easily converted to LPG to keep the fuel costs in check. Find yourself a decent garage for preventative maintenance (or DIY as they're not complex) and you will have vehicle to rely on.
Hugely competent off road and on snow, they are surprisingly capable on road too. They are not exactly fast but they're sharp enough and have great torque. Keep it in 4WD on damp roads and they corner well. 2wd can get a bit lairy if you have even a slightly heavy foot and is ultimately a bit pointless as it saves no fuel.
Cherokees are great for comfy motorway cruising with plenty of load space. They're also excellent for smashing over potholes on our increasingly rubbish roads. When you get sick of replacing expensive tyres and even wheels get a Cherokee on 235/70/15s and float over the top.
If you're buying get underneath and check for rust, especially the floors. Otherwise they are pretty solid with iron heads and blocks for longevity. Check all the switches in the drivers door, the wiring can chafe.
Overall I love this keep
