Summary
What does this car say about you?
I've got a family and it floods sometimes (it's not used as an urban runabout) and I wont spend Land Rover/Range Rover prices.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
The Wife loves it, Kids too young to be bothered, (but noise keeps them awake on long runs...aaaarrrrghhhh.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, as it doesn't flood enough to warrant a 4X4 and I would prefer something more economical
What are you likely to buy next?
Passat, Saab 9-5 estate or similar

No

February 2003
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not bad... ish
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Family car with flooding clearance and Jeep name had a cache.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpfull, but they would be, they're after the cash. However, 12 mth tax 12 mth mot and a full tank helped.

Steady, not really thrilling

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Electrics in the doors have chaffed on a couple of occasions and when coming out of 4wd it has a tendancy to stick in diff lock, it went back under warranty twice for this but no solution untill an independant service agent said they are tempremental and is no worse off in terms of MPG to leave it in 4wd. Otherwise engine etc has been very reliable.
What's most practical about your car?
Having it converted to lpg after warranty expired (paid for it's self within 2 years), it isn't overly huge for a 4X4, and cruises at sensible motorway speeds easily and in comfort, It is however noisy, both wind noise and transmission, boot space is not much to write home about either
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Worst is the MPG-ometer in the trip computer
