Yes, it delivers what it promises, it is a useful versatile vehicle. It's like having your own personal van available 24/7, but one that is decent looking enough to park at the front of the house

Probably the 2.8 litre diesel Cherokee, with Limited trim, leather etc.

What was the dealer like?
ok, no pressure but very slow to fix a minor problem that cropped up during the purchase (10 days to find the PIN code for the radio!)

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
More agricultural than you might expect. A bit noisy and bouncy but easily out performs farm and commercial vehicles. The diesel is rattly by european standards, but adequately powerful and reasonably economical. High driving position is a pleasure, good visibility, just turn the radio up, stick to the speed limits and enjoy.
What's it like to park?
Parking is easy, the steering has a remarkable lock almost like a London taxi, just take care reversing into tight spaces, rear visibility is a bit tricky

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Engine and turbo siezed up about 5 days after purchase due to catastrophic oil leak while driving (unfixed recall issue) Main dealer replaced the whole power unit under warranty, without fuss or bother like it was just in for a service, only took 3 days
What's most practical about your car?
Load carrying capacity, comfortable high seating position, easy to get in and out, 4wd lever is great for hooking takaway and shopping bags
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
single touch drop down for each rear seat, no fiddling with headrests, seatbelts or the lower seat cushion, it is really quick and easy. Radio is surprisingly good.
