What does this car say about you?
I am not a member of Green Peace or a tree hugger. Although this vehicle returns on average 30 - 36 mpg (same as the wifes Golf). Not the run of the mill euro box driver.

Neighbours have not commented.Work mates love it.

Yes
What price did you pay?
£20,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a good p/x deal on our trade in vehicle, I think business was slow during that month.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I bought this vehicle for it's off road ability & towing capacity. It is ideal for pulluing our trailer loaded with 2 off road motorcycles
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was very helpful (arn't they all when trying to get your cash)?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good view of the road, but cornering is best done sensibly. Engine a bit noisey when cold, but soon settles down. Excellent at motorway speeds, a bit jiggly on country roads. Pulls like a tank, so much low down power. Six speed box a real improvement over the old 5 speed box. Tried an Auto but economy was about 6-10 miles to the gallon less.
What's it like to park?
Good view, but rear spare wheel obstructs some vision. No parking problems so far, although my wife 'panics' when she tries to reverse it.( only 5ft)

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Front brakes sticking on when cornering (less than 1000 miles on clock). Three attempts sorted the problem under warranty. New discs, pads & calibers fitted. No problems since. Turbo charger waste gate and ecu problems in cold weather (2500 miles on clock), causing the engine to loose power without warning ( brown pants time on two occasions). Fixed under warranty after several attempts and involvment of Jeep UK. No problems since
What's most practical about your car?
Cabin space, off road ability, comfy seats, decent fuel economy
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Side steps for reaching onto the roof, and stops carparking dents. 'A' bar for pushing through the local supermarket. Privacy glass so I dont have to make eye contact with road rage idiots in rep mobiles
