Summary
What does this car say about you?
Selfish and obviously doesn't care about the planet? Probably, but changing a few light bulbs, recycling a few beer bottles, and driving a Toyota Prius isn't going to change the world in the limited time I have left on it
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
How can you not be impressed by the looks of a silver Jeep SRT8?
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not, as by the time I have paid for this one, there'll be a different model out : perhaps a 6.4L 500hp Jeep?
What are you likely to buy next?
No idea right now.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£41,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes : Dealer got good deal as a Demonstrator, but had to keep it for 3 months before I could officially buy it. Overall, with the trade in etc I'm happy with the deal
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Traded in 2005 5.7 Hemi Grand Cherokee. This SRT8 in bright silver is such a looker
What was the dealer like?
Stratstone Cardiff : brilliant, but what I would expect from them when buying their top of the range vehicle

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Brilliant : vision past the door pillars is sometimes difficult (but this applies to all Grand Cherokees including my previous 5.7L). Surefooted, and steering is much better than 5.7's was. The power available is just awsome. Not so much fun I guess if you are trying to raise the mpg. But then why buy one of these : get a Toyota Prius. Just need to be careful when accelerating out of junctions, as power is so great you could just end up in the hedge before you get a chance to turn the wheel.
What's it like to park?
Bit trickier than 5.7L as wing mirrors dont dip automatically when reverse is selected like previous 5.7. But has got rear parking sensors which make a lot of difference. I never park it in narrow car park slots, take up two if necessary (pay for 2 mind) or neighbours will dent your doors, and in any case, other people can't see it hidden amongst the other cars

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No : nothing so far
What's most practical about your car?
Absolutely nothing really : but you dont buy an SRT8 for practicality!!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Love everything about it : love Jeeps anyway. Particularly like the twin centre exhaust pipes : looks good from behind which is how most other drivers will see it!!
