Jeep Renegade 1.4 Multiair Longitude 5d DDCT Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
First of all this review mostly apllies to pre 2018 renegade as the new renegade has different engines. This is a kind of car that traditional car people would hate for the looks, but then if you are looking for something different like me this is a good choice. The main reason for me buying this car is this car has got a character, its fun to drive, high riding position and stands out from all other cars in a car park. It has comfortable seats good for long journeys, lot of headroom, roomy cabin, enough leg space in front and back, though boot can be a little bigger. I'd say the boot is enough for small families but if u have a big family with more than 2 kids, u may struggle. During my ownership of nearly an year and it has done 45000 miles now in total 4years, i haven't had any issues. If you are considering to buy one, before buying one, carefully check different versions and trims as i went for 1.4 petrol, but now I'm thinking i should have gone for the trailhawk version (2.0 litre diesel 4x4) which is top of range. I test drove almost all models petrol and diesel before buying this and i'd say if u need good fuel efficiency, go for 1.6 diesel but it is slow. If u want off road capability, go for the top of range trailhawk version which has enough power and will take you anywhere. About the inside, if u want leather seats go for limited trim which also comes with bigger infotainment screen and auto climate control. Interior quality is not bad, but don't compare it to luxury suvs or cars. This one looks rugged. The annoying thing about the renegade is its automatic gearbox which has its own mind and clings on to the lower gears at times which can cause revs to go skyhigh but without any real acceleration. Apart from that, i love my renegade and recommend it to anyone.
