Summary
What does this car say about you?
That we were prepared to search for the right vehicle for our family.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Dad is a mechanic and was quite positive saying that the Kia's have improved a great deal from a decade ago and he was right. Rest of friends and family like it and a couple are now considering it themselves.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would love to but unfortunately they have reduced the towing weight of the new models so we will have to see if it still suitable for towing horses.
What are you likely to buy next?
Hopefully the Kia - tow weight dependent!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£9,000
When did you buy the car?
February 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes we got an excellant deal - I rang round several other garages including the one my uncle worked at and every other garage was at least £1500 more.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed a people carrier but really didnt like the Vauxhall Zafira.
What was the dealer like?
Excellant - as part of the deal - even though Kia's have a longer warranty - he extended the warranty for another 6 months to match the length of finance (we bought over 4 yrs and there was 3.5yrs left on warranty initially).

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nice to drive, can shift when it needs to. Everyone says its a little light and I agree with that. We have driven ours from Kent to Scotland and from Kent to Southern Spain - its been brilliant.
What's it like to park?
Fine - took a while to adjust to parking sensors which I wasnt keen on but it does have quite a big rear end so ultimately its ended up being helpful - if a little over zealous.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not one thing - but then even though its a diesel it does get serviced every 10k which is my only criticism.
What's most practical about your car?
The space and the seats - although its quite good fuel economy as well.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Dont really have anything - overall the entire vehicle is excellant - this came with the rear parking sensors which originally I wanted disconnected as they were annoying but have got used to them now.
