Bought this from work colleague, as needed a cheap car. Far cry from my usual vehicle...but needs must. Inoffensive looks, bland interior, not much equipment. But OMG...that diesel engine!!! Has so much torque!! I had read reviews which raved about this engine before I bought car and I was like..."Really??" But their not wrong!! If I didn't know previous first keeper (who has flap all interest in cars), I would have thought it had been remapped!! Seriously, stick this alongside my old Corsa VXR, put in 4th at 40mph in bury the throttle and this Rio would blow it to the weeds!! And the best bit?? £30 a year road tax!! Feel like I'm ripping off the world...is gonna have to be some vehicle to make me pay £240 tax again. Will be keeping this for a while and don't even car about damaging it...another plus to owning a cheapie!!
