Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I don't want or need a flash car for getting around town, if it were not for the rattles it would be great - It is not in practice the quality though that KIA advertise & was a bad buy for me - I have lost confidence in the car & will likely sell it back to the dealer I bought it from.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone who has not ridden on a slightly bumpy road love it, it IMO is a very nice looking car with high quality trim & buttons & knobs etc..it is very well finished & looks like it will last.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, there are rattles from various parts of the car & squeaks, rear suspension certainly needs some work - This car has already been to the dealer more times in 8 months than my last car for faults in 6.5 years & that was a FIAT - It is with regret this is a negative review but this has been my experience.
What are you likely to buy next?
Honda or Toyota.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nice to drive though esp rear suspension can be caught out by a few bumps close together causing the rear to hop a little. Handles very well & always feels secure though , discs all round give good braking which is not over servoed. No problems with steering which some have reported, it's hard to fault if it were not for knocks & rattles that KIA really need to sort - A pillar as in many cars does block view when pulling out of junction but OK when you are aware of this.,.
What's it like to park?
Trim 2 does not come with rear sensors that really are a must as the small rear window does make it hard to judge rear distance - Though otherwise OK.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rear tailgate strut failed which resulted in tailgate falling on person looking in boot. A very annoying dash rattle which was fixed by removing dash - Though now 4 months later the drivers A strut trim area has developed a very annoying knock & rattle which will require another visit to the dealer & I hope will be fixed on warranty. To add insult the handbrake joggles up & down & rattles which as a temp fix I rest my hand on it - This too hopefully will be fixed under warranty. In 40 years of driving I have never had to have a rattle on any car fixed - At the moment I really dislike using the car until I go to the dealer next week for fixes.
What's most practical about your car?
Roomy, plenty of room both leg & headroom I'm 6:5 ins so this is important. Boot fine for size of car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
ICE sounds pretty good, nice view of instruments, headlights particularly good.
