Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I'm aware that the premium marques are no longer the leaders of the pack, and that I know where to go for cheap motoring. And that I do only local driving and don't need a big car.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Like the looks.
Would you buy this car again and why?
If it came with a more spirited engine, yes.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something South Korean.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,988
When did you buy the car?
June 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Trade-in valuation was highest of a number of dealers, and a generous amount was knocked off the Rio's price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
My current car was unsuitable for my usage profile and was losing value fast, and Kia offered a generous trade-in value.
What was the dealer like?
Very pleasant.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Accelerator, gear shift and clutch are very light and as such detract from driving pleasure. But very quiet and generally a pleasant drive. Not tiresome over long distances.
What's it like to park?
Reverse parking should be avoided due to poor visibility.
