Kia Sorento SUV (2003 - 2009) 2.5 CRDi XS 5d (06) Owner Review

The Sorento has been the best work horse we have ever. owned .This is the second model we have had since they were made .The power unit and gear box are so well matched .This version is so much better than the new versions wish they still made it .The 2.5 engine is the best .Great on fuel and so comfortable.Finding a good model has become really hard.If buying one check underneath for chassis damage and regular oil changes.Stay away from any Smokey models .Some owners have had problems with the transfers box but all this can be resolved by resetting .The best tip we were given is when you have to replace any tyres you have to replace all 4!!! this sounds expensive but when we first had our model we had a small amount of shuddering as if the transfers box was clucking.It turned out the 4 tyres all had different sizes .We replaced with 4 new ones and rotate every 5 k. miles and it has been problem free ever since.We have been stopped by various owners and another tip don't put 4x4 through car washes that are chain driven!!!! this throws the transfers box out .If you do have problems pull fuse 15 out and run until it resets it self.Hope this helps.Good Luck.These are as good as any 4x4 on the road as long as they are maintained .
