Economy
Value
A lot of car for the money. Not many cars with all electric windows/electric heated mirrors/ RDS radio/alloys (incl full size spare).
Costs
Parts prices relatively cheap and easily obtainable.

On the road
Driving
It not a sports hatch or saloon. On that basis, it drives exactly as a 4 wheel drive should, slightly over assisted power steering, all other controls good with good clutch feel. Visibility excellent.
Performance
For a heavy, small 4x4, it has surprised quite a few saloon/hatchback drivers. Off road it's scarily good. But do have the right tyres on it.

Living with it
Reliability
Mileage was 68,000 on purchase and I have added 18,000 to that, all driven without any hint of a problem.

Looks compact, but is deceptively spacious. Quite good looking, despite the age of the model. I don't listen to negative comments from people who drive Berlingos and other over-curved boxes.
Comfort
Slightly jiggly ride at low speeds. Good at high speeds, but can be affected by crosswinds. As with most high vehicles, anticipation is the name of the game. Seating comfortable even in the rear.

Security and Service
Security
The immobiliser has so far fooled everyone, as it cuts off the ignition circuit about two minutes after the key is inserted unless the ignition is switched on and the engine started.
Service
Website is excellent and a recall for seat belts on a 7 year old car carried out for free at the nearest dealer has never happened to me before by any of the main manufacturers.

Changed plugs and air filter.
Other
Front wheel bearings slightly loose due to off-roading; minor adjustment, easily done, cured this.
