Kia Sportage (2010 - 2016) 1.7 CRDi 4 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I've had this KIA Sportage nearly 4 years and what a massive disappointment. I've gone through two sets of front brake disks and pads, first set needed replacing at 16k and second set Under 30k. A colleague at work calls his cheese brakes on sportage. My clutch has just needed replacing at 37k (wouldn't cover under warranty). Electric front seat broke after a year and was off road a week whilst they got part into country. The material/finish quality is very bad. All 4 alloy wheels are flaking and KIA won't replace 2 that are slightly scuffed yet are flaking in centre of alloy. The steering wheel and gear knob are really worn, again warranty won't cover and KIA claim is wear and tear. I've driven all types of cars for over 25 years and the 7 year warranty is a total joke and waste of time. Please, my advice is you think you're getting good deal with 7 year warranty but this car has cost me more than any other manufacturer so in my opinion do not buy a KIA. Even the KIA main customer (lack of) service department said my complaint wouldn't go far and dismissed this. We all live and learn and my lesson is stay clear of buying a KIA.
