Kia Sportage (2010 - 2016) 1.7 CRDi 4 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Come on! For the money you pay where else can you get value like this?
It drives and handles well without being dynamic, has little body roll and grips the road fine for something this size.
It's also very comfortable if a little crashy over potholes and speed humps, this being a trade off with the firm suspension set up. For what it's worth I think the shape is classic and still manages to look fresh and modern.
The Sportage has perfectly acceptable levels of fit and finish with materials being more hard wearing rather than "nice to the touch" . It's well put together too, everything feels solid enough. Controls are nicely weighted and intuitive as well for most. The car is quite economical about the doors (43- 45 mpg ) and I've seen as much as 56 on a long run , admittedly that's driving like a nun.
I paid £12,750 for my 4 year old, low miles top spec motor that had a full 3 years manufacturers warranty left for god's sake! I've owned mine for just about 3 years and It's been ultra reliable in that time. It has every conceivable extra available in 2014, colour camera and park assist is a boon.
As bargains go you won't do better. Just remember it's not an Audi Q5 or a BMW X5 but then your not paying for that either. If you're like me, and can look beyond the badge and just enjoy the car for its own merits and live with what it lacks. It will not disappoint.
