Kia Sportage (2010 - 2016) 2.0 CRDi KX-3 (Sat Nav) 5d Owner Review

In their own words
It's a good looking car, good at towing if you don't reverse the caravan... Steering wheel switches are failing on the cruise control. Excellent in snow or mud if water ingress into the diff electronics is kept at bay. Ride is very wibbly wobbly. Engine performance is only ok Fuel consumption has hit 42 mpg once on an empty motorway early one morning, normally the readout sits between 28.5 - 30.5 which is poor for a diesel. Body panels fair well but alloy wheels are dire and just rot. Cleaning and lacquering is nigh on futile. I will never by another!
How reliable do you find the car?
Reversing camera failed, sent a current up the line to the radio/satnav burning it out. Kia wanted around 2k best estimate to fix. It had happened once before and the replacement was a repaired radio dated 2010. Lies and no sympathy. Front springs break too often, 4 as failed last year, luckily local garage fixed it, it was water ingress at the rear diff. Clutch went suddenly at 36 k. Looks like reverse is too high a gear to reverse a caravan slowly. Sunroof problems needed repair when I bought it, weeks later rear washer failed. I could go on but it's to depressing!About their car
