In their own words
I've driven our car for over 2 months now and after initially being delighted with the car, I now feel I’ve formed a more balanced and experienced view after driving it for over 3000 miles in 2 months.
Pro's: The quality of the build is good, it has a nice solid feel about it with a good quality finish. The design I find contemporary, modern and pleasing. Internal cabin space is ample and the seats are comfortable with an electrically operated, customisable driving position. I'm just over 6ft 5” and find the car comfortable to drive. Equipment fit is good (albeit, technically speaking, it's menu’s and options selections are slow to respond)
Cons: It's stressful to drive. Keyless entry system is frustrating. Temperamental driving assist systems that operate sporadicall making the car infuriating to live with. The car is unpredictable and temperamental to control. Fuel efficiency is not as good as others and it is sluggish and underpowered in low revs.
Conclusion: Overall, it’s a nice car that appears to have a good level of equipment fit, but in real-world use, the equipment is actually quite disappointing to use. The real problem, is the car has totally been ruined by what Kia calls its driving assist systems. I don’t like driving it, It’s not safe at all, it’s unpredictable and I wouldn’t buy a Kia again. I havd to commute a lot for work and use the car at weekends as our primary family vehicle. I don’t feel safe when driving it with my kids in it, so we’re trading it in for something else as it has a mind of its own and is too unpredictable. Not recommended at all.
