After testdriving a demo of this car for one day I decided to buy a new one which had just been delivered at the dealer, trading in my 4 year old car. This is an ideal car for driving long distances. I drove it in Germany on the autobahn, where this car really feels at home, driving 125 miles/hr with 3000 rpm in 8th gear. There is no need to choose from a list of expensive options when ordering the car: it is complete, you only choose the color! I wouldn't recommend this car if you are using it for short drives, not only because it is a diesel but also because the fuel consumption is somewhat higher than a lot of other diesel cars. On longer drives (=more than 20 miles) the difference in fuel consumption is much smaller. The diesel engine is powerful and not noisy. There is some tyre noise but not intrusive. Although the car is large and not a lightweight it drives fantastic, just as good as it looks!
