Kia Venga (2010 - 2019) 1.4 CRDi 2 (01/15-) 5d Owner Review

In their own words
PROS: 1. Fantastic space inside the car and boot. Lower part of boot can certainly hide a lot. 2. Rear seats slide AND fold 60/40, which has been very useful. 3. Very comfortable seating and easily adjustable. 4. Servicing and running costs have been excellent and fairly inexpensive. 5. Excellent amount of storage cubby holes.
CONS: 1. Engine unlike any other diesel I have ever owned or driven. No pull and slow off the mark. 2. Visibility round the huge A pillar is scary at times! Otherwise excellent. 3. The ride can be very harsh over imperfect roads and manholes. Really crashy over potholes, even small ones! 4. Posh alloy wheels from standard are suffering huge amount of water intrusion and flaking badly. [Not a good look!] 5. Not an easy car to do any diy on, as everything is well stacked away. 6. Standard horn is very weak. 7. Gear selector now getting very vague at times!
Fairly good mpg [50+]. I was spoilt with my previous car which was a Fiat Panda diesel [well over 60 mpg] 1.6 diesel may be a much better option
How reliable do you find the car?
My windscreen washer bottle came detached from the pipe [apparently a common fault, but was fixed under warranty without quibble.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Having driven diesel cars [mainly Peugeot at home; Land-Rover Defender, Toyota Landcruiser and Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero at work] I was shocked at the lack of pulling power of the engine! It does not drive like any other diesel I have driven. Very slow on takeoff and changing down to go up long hills is unheard of! Now, with more miles on the clock, it does drive much better.About their car
