Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 TD4 (180bhp) SE Tech 5d Auto Owner Review

This is the car that does everything. The only car you will need. It delights every time I drive it. Superbly comfortable. As expected in a car of this type, there is some body roll when cornering enthusiastically, but it is not excessive. The grip is surprisingly good and you need to be doing something daft before it even hints at letting go. The 180bhp diesel coupled with the 9 speed automatic provides plenty of grunt even when towing a decent sized 4 birth caravan. The flappy paddles in sport mode provide a more dynamic drive, especially useful on the twisty stuff. Acceleration is quite engaging and certainly more than adequate. It is more than able to outperform the average ubiquitous family saloon. Off road characteristics are excellent, the 4 wheel drive is especially welcome when dragging the caravan over a wet grassy field. Towing stability is amazing, even in strong cross winds it always inspires confidence. Inside the cabin is spacious and quiet. On a recent 500 mile journey completed in a day, to the French Alps we all arrived feeling fresh and relaxed with no aches or pains. As mentioned earlier this is my 4th Land Rover and certainly won't be my last.
