Economy
Value
£4k cheaper new than a TD5 after dealer discount makes 17mpg less scary.
Costs
Expensive in petrol and servicing, but insurance cheap through Land Rover and higher depreciation % offset by lower purchase price.

On the road
Driving
For a 4x4 it's excellent. Little roll in corners thanks to ACE and SLS. Ride could be less harsh, but handles better than a Saab 9-5 estate - Honestly!
Performance
I couldn't live with a TD5, but V8 is good although it could be better. Basicly needs more power and a flatter torque curve.

Living with it
Reliability
Other than a problem with an ACE sensor, there have been no problems.
Comfort
Doors don't open very wide. Access to rear seats is therefore cramped. I'm 6 foot and sitting behind me gives little legroom. Headroom fantastic and flat rear floor is good. Boot is huge.
