Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed stable tow car with good carrying capacity.
What was the dealer like?
Fine, better than a lot of smaller non franchised dealers are. When fault not covered by warranty developed they did make a fair contribution to costs when I had it repaired at LR specialist rather than their own workshop.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very smooth. For such a large heavy car it handles really well. Extremely comfortable for long distances. Some people say the 2.7 is sluggish. I personally disagree as I find it pretty quick off the mark, and it should be remembered this is a huge, more than 2.5 ton 4x4. If you want a sports car why would you buy a LR?
What's it like to park?
It isn't too bad. Rear sensors are a must, but the front stops pretty much from where you can see it and the steering is light. Biggest problem is that most public/shopping centre car parking spaces in Britain are far too narrow anyway, even for ordinary sized cars.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes. Suspension compressor faulted, but car has done 107000 miles and it was the original part.
What's most practical about your car?
Plenty of space, high driving position and easy to load. Mine has 7 seats and also the climate pack which includes heated windscreen. I've had several 4x4's but this is the best towcar by a mile.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air suspension,air con, cruise control, CD multi changer, split tailgate.
