Economy
Value
Disco 3 prices, like for like, are nearly £10k up on old model.
Costs
Outrageous purchase price, rapid depreciation, pathetic fuel economy - 24 mpg overall from the latest technology in diesels.

On the road
Driving
2.7 V6 diesel good, but don't expect to pass out with the G-force when accelerating.
Performance
Excellent motorway cruiser and will tow anything.

Living with it
Reliability
On my second Disco 3 already - first one replaced by dealer. Auto gearox failed, brakes failed, climate control failed. All problems were electrical rather than mechanical, but not what I would expect from a £40k car
Image
Distinctive looks, Range Rover wannabe
Comfort
As good as any executive car, but with acres of space.
