Land Rover Discovery (2004 - 2017) 3.0 SDV6 (255bhp) HSE 5d Auto Owner Review

Brilliant car to drive and exceptional towing vehicle but running costs astronomical and dealer service appalling. Prior to having land rovers I had three Mitsubishi shoguns. All I ever paid for was a service, nothing ever broke, each was driven over 100,000 miles. Discovery 3 I had before this one had endless problems, suspension at first service in excess of £1,000. Failed rear diff £2500, failed front diff another £1500 or so. There was never a straightforward service. Thought I’d try again with Discovery 4 but a similar story! Endless brake problems, failed throttle valve £1000, failed turbo £3000, failed suspension bushes £1000. It really is a disaster I will never ever buy another Land Rover steer clear!!
