Summary
What does this car say about you?
Its a little less flashy than a RR Sport and doesn't produce a negative reaction in other drivers.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Its well liked for its ability to shift seven adults in comfort.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, Definitely. Hopefully when this one is due for change the new Discovery will be available. I just hope they don't change the overall feel. The balance between luxury and utility is just about spot on.
What are you likely to buy next?
Renew my Aston Martin BD9 Volante with a DB9.2.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£51,000
When did you buy the car?
September 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes As a repeat buyer of Discoveries my dealer always does me a good deal. Possibly due to the fact he knows I come back every two years or so, and if he doesn't I'll go elsewhere!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
This our 6 discovery.
What was the dealer like?
Helpful and efficient, as usual.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Extremely smooth. It no sports car but will pick up its heals and move when required. One never feels short changed or left feeling the need for more power. Motorway cruising is extremely unflustered. The ride in my current car (2015 year model) is smoother than the previous.
What's it like to park?
Not the easiest but camera and sensors help.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not yet... Constantly annoys me that jurnos praise the Discovery but always add a rider at the end of their piece stating "reliability is an issue". In the 12 years I owned Discoveries I never had any major problems. Unlike the BMW X5's I had previously!
What's most practical about your car?
Vast space and elevated driving position.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The Discovery isn't about gadget etc. It just fulfills the role of family and pet mover better than anything else I can think of. I do like the heated steering wheel!
