Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a reasonable deal from the dealer. Prices are high, because demand is high. Managed to get everything I wanted for a reasonable price (when did I ever think £50k was reasonable for a car... ).
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Having owned a Discovery 3 for three years prior to buying this one - there really was no other choice on the market... It is the best 7 seater, non MPV on the market - bar none.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer service was excellent from start to finish. I have only had the car 6 weeks - but have already been contacted to check I am happy and have the 6 week check up tomorrow to make sure all is as it should be.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The new 8 speed gearbox, twinned with the new 3L diesel is AMAZING. So much better than the old one. The suspension is better too - you can really throw it round corners. If you have a Disco 3 and don't intend to change it soon - DO NOT DRIVE a Disco 4... The flappy paddles are actually quite useful / fun - you wouldn't have thought you would need them - but they are useful especially when towing.
What's it like to park?
Partking is easy with the front and rear sensors & the camera. No issues with size - but then I am used to it.

Have you had any problems with the car?
No.
What's most practical about your car?
Discovery's are infinitely practical. A PROPER 7 seater - even for adults. Flat fold seats mean LOADS of space in the back. I have already towed with it - and it was almost like the 3 tonne boat wasn't even there. Didnt make ANY difference to the fuel economy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The rear parking camera is really handy - one of those things you didn't know you needed until you get it!
