Land Rover Discovery SUV HSE Luxury 3.0 Sd6 306hp auto 5d Owner Review

I'm onto my 2nd Discovery 5, both HSE LUX 3.0 SD6's. 1st one covered 40k miles with zero issues. 2nd one has just covered 1k with no issues. I test drove a few before choosing the exact spec, the 2.0 is ok but in my opinion doesn't suit the car. Likewise i wouldn't go lower than HSE spec. The earlier 3.0 TD6 is smooth and perfectly adequate but the SD6 with 700nm of torques is the engine to have. I've taken mine off road a number of times and its always amazed me how capable it is although the road biased tyres will be the weak link if it gets really muddy. For me comparing the discovery to the XC90 and Q7 ins't realistic unless you only ever intend to drive on paved road.
