Land Rover Freelander Hardback 1.8i 3d (2000/V) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A lot of car and image for the price. Quality exudes inside and out.
Costs
As with most 4x4s, not economical. Dealer servicing is pricey, but very good.
-
On the road
Driving
Quite noisy at speed. Rolls on corners, but probably no more than other 4x4s. Comfortable at 60mph, but no more.
Performance
1.8 engine too small. Loses some 'feel' at 70mph+. Not taken off-road, as basic Landrover seems much better suited to this.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems in 2 years/16,000 miles.
Image
By far the best in its class - something British-made to be proud of!
Comfort
Good seats, very spacious.
-
Security and Service
Security
Very good. Option to just open driver's door should be universally adopted. On-road presence keeps pushy drivers at bay.
Service
Excellent service, but at a price.
