Economy
Value
Need to get a deal as main dealers are expensive.
Costs
Pretty good diesel consumption 35-37mpg.
-
On the road
Driving
Surprisingly good on-road manners. No rolling on bends. Naturally terrific off-road.
Performance
You don't buy a Freelander for speed, but excellent gearing for on-road. Torquey. Sedate motorway cruising at 70mph+. Excellent multi-function auto gearbox.

Living with it
Reliability
Not had the car long enough yet, but apparently the new model is looking good in this respect.
Image
Still has that desirable image that sets it above the SUV competition.
Comfort
Good cabin environment. No climate but ac plus innumerable combinations of windows and sunroof mean there is plenty of ventilation and cooling options.

Security and Service

Other than the professional sales team, no experience yet of customer care and service.
